Last Thursday evening, Pinnacle Vodka hosted an intimate event featuring #HappyHosting tips and tricks for every budding host. Admittedly, Lien and I are not huge spirits drinkers. Our palettes haven’t quite acquired the taste of spirits like vodkas on their own, but Pinnacle certainly had a few tricks up their sleeve to make sure every taster left happy.
Through the expertise of Vancouver’s Bartender of the Year, Lauren Mote, and Vancouver favorite Chef Jonathan Chovancek of Medina Cafe, we were taken on a culinary adventure and learned the what’s what in hosting trends with Pinnacle Vodka.
Here are a few highlights from our experience:
Parisian chic setting to accompany a premium Parisian vodka cocktail.
A lovely Fraser Valley duck liver parfait with hazelnuts and preserved quince to start our evening.
Bartender of the Year Lauren Mote giving us a brief lesson on the art of spirits tasting.
La Boheme was the theme of our first hosting room – eclectic colors and unique flavors were definitely a highlight.
A gorgeous array of kusshi oysters, laced with Pinnacle Vodka in its seasoning.
A beautiful seafood creation by Chef Jonathan, artfully served on pearlescent abalone shells.
A beautiful “La Minimaliste” pairing: Diplomate vodka, gin and lillet blanc cocktail & West Coast Seafood Potage.
Lauren Mote and Chef Jonathan Chovancek are a definite culinary and mixology powerhouse.
Cheers to Pinnacle Vodka! The Vod Vod Baudet cocktail will be a guest pleaser for any hosting event.
A big thank you to the Praxis PR team for thinking of us for this lovely experience!
