I LOVE awards shows. And it’s not the actual show that gets me. It’s the circus that happens before, after and sometimes during. It’s a spectacle. The stars obviously show up to these things hoping we’ll talk about them, and so we shall. Here’s a brief list of who had me gasping for joy on the 2015 Golden Globes red carpet.
BOW DOWN. I love me some good JLo face. At this year’s GG, Ms. Lopez graced us not only with amazing face but also cleave, leg topped off by a jewel encrusted cape. This Zuhair Murad gown is exquisite. Ladies and gentlemen, Jenny has left the block.
P.S. As a believer in big hair, particularly on TV, I NEED this hair.
You heard it here. I’ve loved Emma Stone since the second I laid eyes on her in an Easy A trailer. (So creepy!) Just ask my husband. My raspy-voiced ginger who can lay down a dirty joke rocked an outfit as unexpected as she is at this year’s Golden Globes. This perfectly tailored Lanvin jumpsuit is EVERYTHING. From the tricked out top to the massive bow/train in the back…it’s youthful, glamourous, interesting — an easy A+.
Look at her. Look how that dress is cut on that body. Shimmering. Oozing elegance. Diane Kruger always feels of another era. Btw, the label she’s wearing is a favourite of one of my favourites, the Duchess Kate Middleton.
Oh Diane, the stunning, supportive girlfriend, who’s smart and willing to hang out with you in your hometown (Vancity, baby!), why has Joshua Jackson not put a ring on it? Look how she cute she is when she freaks out over his win.
A bit of an unusual pick for best dressed but I loved Jenna Dewan Tatum in this soft yet almost architectural number. The pale yellow was striking against her dark hair. It draped beautifully despite the fact she’s a petite girl. Her hair’s simple and fresh. Jenna’s usually so sexed up. No need for the pageantry when you’re rolling with Magic Mike.
Word is, Channing Tatum was carrying her train whilst on the red carpet. The universe obviously hates us as there are no photos of this. It’s probably because paparazzi are usually men who have no understanding what qualifies as porn for women. They’re missing the sh*t that’ll really sell.
